Inviting advertisers/sponsors

Since the inception of Redskins Capital Connection in 2014, I’ve never proactively sought advertisement or sponsorship for the site and/or podcast; all previous partnerships have occurred as a result of small businesses approaching us and seeking a promotional contract.

With that said, for the first time ever I am inviting any business owners or representatives who wish to advertise on RCC for the upcoming training camp (and beyond) period to contact me on [email protected] to start a dialogue about what we can offer you.

As a short example of the kind of reach that partnering with us can help you to achieve, let me give you a brief overview:

RCC Podcast

RCC reaches thousands of listeners via our podcast per episode, and now that we are approaching the start of our ‘season’ (which is training camp all the way through to the post season), we will be putting out a minimum of one episode per week, and quite often multiple episodes per week. Analytics tells us that over 85% of our listeners are in the broader DMV area. As well, we do have listeners from all corners of the United States, and indeed, the world.

Advertising on the podcast would involve a 15, 30, or 60 second ‘radio’ style advertisement, narrated by myself and Mark Phillips (formerly ESPN 910) at the start of every episode for the duration of your contracted period. This type of partnership would be ideally suited to small and medium businesses seeking targeted engagement with football fans in the aforementioned area.

Over the past 12 months, our website has had over 200,000 unique visitors, and approximately 1,000,000 page views. Similar to the podcast, a vast majority of the website visitors are based Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Texas, California and New York are the next biggest visitors based on US state, with China being the second biggest nation represented in our analytics.

RCC originated as the podcast only, and the website as a platform for quality written content and analysis has only existed for just over 12 months. Throughout the past year, our reach on the web platform has grown at a steady rate, and we are making the required moves to continue to grow this part of our operations this year, by bringing in new contributors and increasing our overall focus on it as well.

Advertising on the website would involve a banner ad on every page (including on our mobile site), as well as the potential for sponsored content (giveaway contests sponsored by your enterprise, as an example). Such a partnership would ensure that your brand identity is seen by a large number of targeted DMV based football fans.

It is important to note that I, and indeed the whole RCC team, care deeply about protecting and nurturing this platform that we have all spent so much time on developing and growing, and as such we are naturally discerning as to the type of advertisement/sponsorship partnerships that we will accept.

We are not desperate for funding; we can and are happy to continue covering the costs of running this site entirely out of our own pockets. That said, we are excited about the opportunity that a new partnership may present us, and encourage anyone interested to get in touch and begin a discussion.
