Jordan Reed named 2015 RCC MVP

This season the Redskins Capital Connection Podcast introduced the “3-2-1” voting for each week’s top 3 Redskins players each week. At the end of the season the votes were tallied up and the results are in.

With the most votes and the 2015 RCC MVP, the winner is…

JORDAN REED

Reed had an epic season, in fact he had the greatest season a Redskins Tight End has ever had.  Reed finished with 952 yards receiving and 11 TDs. Those numbers are franchise records for a Tight End. This is even more amazing considering Reed missed a few games due to injury. If you include the playoff game, Reed would be at 1,072 yards receiving and 12 TDs. It hasn’t been since 1991 that a Redskins pass catcher finished the season with 10 TDs. Reed finished the season with 11 TDs (not including the playoffs). With that number Reed tied for most receiving TDs in a single season for a Redskins receiver.

Jordan Reed has been selected as a Pro Bowl alternate, but most people would agree he should have been on the list to begin with. The future is bright and Reed has proved he is one of the best Tight Ends in all of the NFL.

Finishing 2nd place in the voting was Kirk Cousins who also had a record breaking season, and 3rd place goes to defensive stud Bashaud Breeland.
